Triangle Cities - Wake Forest

Wake Forest

Located just east of Falls Lake, Wake Forest is 15 miles north of Raleigh and 30 miles from the Research Triangle Park. Originally the site of Wake Forest College, which has since moved to Winston-Salem, the town retains the charm and appeal of a college community. The beautifully landscaped campus now houses a Baptist Theological Seminary. Like all of the other Triangle communities, Wake Forest's population of 6500 is growing steadily.

The small town atmosphere and charm of the Wake Forest area, along with its proximity to everything, is a major reason so many people have chosen to call this community home! Housing options are plentiful -- from new subdivisions to restored older homes -- and are offered for every taste and budget. Development is occurring steadily in well-planned, well-maintained neighborhoods. The Wake Forest Historic District features homes ranging in architectural styles from Greek Revival to Queene Anne to Bungalow and in ages from early 19th century to early 20th century.

Wake Forest is the home of several major employers and draws from a quality workforce provided by several prestigious local colleges and universities. Wake Forest is part of the Wake County Public School System, the 39th largest system in the country, where student scores for the SAT and CAT are consistently above the national average.

Family is important in Wake Forest, and in addition to quality housing and education, health care is a primary concern for residents. The area encompasses a full array of health services and products. The area offers a wealth of public and private services, including generalists, specialists, and health care centers.

Shopping is a breeze in the revitalized Downtown shopping district, the Market of Wake Forest shopping center, the Wake Forest Business Park, the Wake Forest Plaza shopping center and surrounding stores and centers. From necessities to specialty items, you don't have to go far to find what you need and want. In addition, a full range of restaurants provide a cuisine and price range to please even the most discriminating palates and pocketbooks!
