A uniquely defined geographical area, the Triangle exists roughly from Raleigh northwest to Durham, then just southwest to Chapel Hill, then reurning southeast to Raleigh by way of Cary. Just fifteen minutes north of Raleigh, Wake Forest is technically not part of the Triangle. However, it's proximity to Raleigh makes it a viable living alternative for people working in and around the Raleigh "point" of the Triangle.
The Triangle is one of the fastest growing parts of the Southeast. The lifestyle here is convenient and fun, thanks to the perfect weather and the Triangle's terrific location between the ocean and the mountains, Atlanta and Washington, DC. It's also comfortable thanks to the blend of old and new that brings warmth and friendliness to the community.
For newcomers, the Triangle's housing market offers a bit of everything. Here you'll find sprawling farmhouse neighborhoods, where residents grow tobacco in the fields, tractors are parked out front, and wooden fences keep in the horses. Single-family homes with two-car garages and sidewalks that line the streets are also available. Refurbished Victorian homes from days gone by, contemporary cluster homes, condos and townhouses with pools and clubhouses, exclusive communities with custom homes and golf courses are all to be found in the Triangle Region.
Perhaps one of the most important features of the Triangle is that business is good and going strong. In the last several years, many companies have relocated to this area or expanded existing establishments. The Research Triangle Park provides a high concentration of corporations in research and development, manufacturing, high tech, and other fields. However, all of the cities in the Triangle region are bustling with industry and commerce, making this thriving area an exciting place to live and work.
