A note from our broker in the Raleigh, Durham, Cary and Chaple Hill areas.

Thank you for contacting housesandhomes.com. My name is Gregg Weiner, I am a Broker/Realtor in Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill, NC and I am also the area representative for Raleighs Real Estate and housesandhomes.com. I am a lifelong North Carolina native, have lived in the Triangle since 1968, and I know the area extremely well. If you let me know what you need in terms of a home, I will do a search for you and send you listings that seem to match these criteria. Please do let me have your feedback on these listings.

The Triangle is a special and unique place. We are only 2 1/2 hours from Wrightsville Beach, about 3 hours from the mountains, 4 hours from Wash. DC, and 6 hours from Atlanta. We have a temperate climate, but do have 4 distinct seasons. With UNC, Duke, and NC State close at hand, there are all kinds of cultural and educational opportunities to be experienced. There is plenty of golf in the Triangle area, and Pinehurst is only 1 1/4 hours south of here. Jordan Lake (the state's second largest) is only 10 minutes outside of the RTP, and offers fishing, boating, sailing, swimming, trails etc. The Haw river is just minutes away and offers great canoeing and kayaking. With UNC Hospital, Rex in Raleigh, and Duke Hospital....the area offers health care second to none. RDU airport is conveniently located between Raleigh and Durham off of I-40, and is only about 25-30 minutes away from most locations. The new mega mall "The Steets of Southpoint" was just built about 1 1/2 years ago just outside of Durham, and offers 1.3 million sq ft of retail shopping and the state's only Nordstroms....great shopping in the area.

The school website for Wake County is listed below:

Wake County: www.wcpss.net/ (all Wake County Schools are considered good schools...SAT's around 1000)

Our website: has an excellent search engine available with all triangle area homes listed on it. If you would like to see what is available in the area for yourself, you can just key in your price range and other criteria to see what is currently available. The website also contains much helpful information about the area.

To read more about "agency" (who represents who in a real estate transaction) please click on our website www.fmrealty.com and then click on "agency brochure" on the left hand side of the screen.

I will mail you a relocation packet, and it contains maps and brochures about the area which will hopefully be helpful to you. Also, I will try to reach you at home to answer any questions that you may have about the area. Please let me know as far in advance as possible of any trip to the area, and I would be happy to give you a local tour, view some listings and help you with lodging etc. I am looking forward to working with you. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Gregg Weiner
